It has been recorded that the popularity of sexually-transmitted diseases or STDs is high in the age range of fifteen to thirty. This virus poses a big threat to human life because it attacks the immune system of the person infected with it. Once the HIV enters the blood, it contaminates the white blood cells, thus lessening the person's capability of fighting infection. In many cases, a person who gets HIV develops AIDS eventually. Since there is still no cure to this illness, it is indeed important that you should protect yourself whenever you have to engage in any sexual activities.

During sexual intercourse, make sure that you and your partner use barrier methods for safe sex. When there is penetration involved, it is best to use a latex condom every single time. Do not use the excuse of discomfort or numbness just so you can bypass the condom. Be firm with your partner and insist to use a condom. For oral sex, you can use dental dams so that you can protect yourself from the possible transmission of the virus through the semen or vaginal fluid. If you want have a good future, be responsible enough. Use protection and take any precautionary measures so that you do not catch the deadly HIV.
